It's often advantageous to create a group copy and work with the copy rather than the original.

Here's how to create a group copy:

1) Group Manager > Create a Group Copy (this instantly initiates the group copy procedure)

Here's why to create a group copy:

1) A typical scenario is that you have had students proceed through your group in 3D GameLab for an entire year or semester and those students have moved on to another teacher or moved on to other content; if you have new students coming in to go through the same content, creating a group copy prepares a fresh experience for those students, with a new leaderboard.

2) Another scenario is that you may want to change (or even experiment) with the content or gameplay features with another set of students; perhaps you want to copy the group, and then add additional support for struggling students or additional quests for students (support quests or extension quests).  This can also be done in the original group, but it may be easier to orchestrate and adjust gameplay and prerequisites in an experimental group without affecting the majority of users.

3) Creating a group copy works hand in hand with archiving a group to allow you to re-use your student seats for future students.
